We have four lovely furry feline friends who live with us. After replacing all our carpet with flooring we noticed major hair balls floating everywhere like tumbleweeds through the house. Obviously we needed to up our grooming skills. The first time we used it on our cats they weren’t sure about that “big hand” coming after them but it only took once before they started lining up and begging to be groomed. Within a couple of days the “tumbleweeds” had all but disappeared, and even the lint tray in our dryer was cleaner after each load. In addition to the cleanliness positives for this product our cats are calmer and happier. I call it Xanax for cats. Even our somewhat neurotic tabby has became calmer than she’s ever been. This is a great grooming tool and I highly recommend these gloves for any pet.

I have tried many different brushes, combs, and other tools to help with controlling the shedding of our animals. The furminator has been my favorite for quite some time now. It works extremely well at getting the thick undercoat of our cat. I use it all the time on her. The main problem with the furminator is she HATES her stomach brushed, and it has a little trouble over bony prominences. I bring these points up because these gloves help to solve that issue. Using these gloves allows the user to hold the cat while brushing her at the same time, no juggling the brush from hand to hand as you try to keep the cat in place. I can pet her stomach while removing loose fur at the same time. Also, you can work on removing fur on the head, over the hips, on the legs, and sliding the tails through your hands all without hurting you pet. They are rubberized and cause a static charge which really helps to remove and hold onto the fur. You can go with the grain and against the grain without injury. You can loosen tangles better without pulling the hair out. When you are all finished they are very easy to clean. Most of the hair will lift right off of the gloves in wads, but for the rest of the hair that did not lift off easily I was able to just run them under some water from the sink which knocks the rest of the hair right off. If you do run the under the faucet in the kitchen sink then I would highly suggest you use one of the mesh strainers you can put in the opening of the drain to catch the hair before going down the drain. This will just help to protect your drains from hairballs/clogs. I would especially use one if you are on the side of the garbage disposal. It can be a little tougher to remove wads of hair that get tangled in the blades. When you are done rinsing them off in the water, I just let them air dry to prevent damaging them in a clothes dryer. I am very impressed with the how easy it is to use these, how much hair they really do remove, how easy they are to clean, and the fact my cat actually enjoys me petting her while I remove loose fur at the same time. We only have two cats, but these will work just as well on your dogs, or any other household pet that sheds and gets hair all over your home.

Oh, my goodness! These gloves are amazing. Having recently adopted an 18 year-old cat, we are now a four cat household and our apartment was getting oh, so hairy. So far, three of our four cats have fallen in love with being groomed with these gloves. Sometimes, they express a little hesitation initially but start purring very quickly and then move into the caress, showing that they enjoy the experience. Our most affectionate cat, Jasper, even turns this way and that as if to ask that I stroke him all over. Our cats are small to medium in size (the largest is about 9.5 pounds and our little old lady cat is about 5.5 pounds). With the larger boys, I stroke them using a combination of the palm of my hand and the finger tips. With our frail little old lady, I most just use one or two fingers at a time with very gentle pressure.Once I’ve picked up a lot of hair with the gloves, it’s easy to rub the hair off and start again.I am hoping to use these grooming gloves to help our jealous little girl get more comfortable with our new little old lady. I thought that by transferring scents back and forth, they would get more comfortable with each other. So far, though, our jealous little girl is not enjoying the experience, so I think I will have to take it really slowly with her. But I’ve only had the gloves for a couple of days, so I am not giving up yet.I’ve attached a photo of our little old lady cat (because who wants to use a pair of hairy rubber gloves?)

These actually worked great! I have 4 cats with all different types of fur… long fur and fluffy, short fur but thick, short fur but thinner, medium length fur. I rubbed all of them down the same day and for the next week there wouldn’t be any fur floating away when we pet them. I realized you have to put more pressure then most cats will like but one of mine loved it, another didn’t care either way, and 2 were scared (one is scared of it’s own shadow so he doesn’t count lol) One tip I can give is to make sure you let the fur build up before trying to get it out of the glove or else it’s hard to get the fur out. When there is minimal fur, I used a sticky tape lint roller and that worked great. I don’t understand giving a product 1 star if your cat is afraid of the product… does it work or doesn’t it? Now fur does fly around when petting the animals especially if they keep trying to walk away, just make sure you do it before you vacuum. For the price and the fact it gets the job done… I’m giving it 5 stars! I gave my set to my neighbor’s, I let them try the gloves out on their medium sized, medium length fur dog and they said she loved the gloves and they worked great for them also. I am about to order another set right now. Hope that helps. Yes that is all the fur I got off of them in the picture… I told my husband not to throw his garbage on top until I was done but we know how well men listen.

These gloves work wonders for my long-haired German Shepherd puppy. My puppy is 11 months old and sheds like crazy. The gloves are perfect because my puppy does not like being brushed by those rough brushes and tries to bite them. With the gloves she doesn’t care as much.

First let me say that I almost NEVER write product reviews, but feel like I would really like to write one for these Pet Grooming Gloves. We have two hairy, senior, sister German Shepherd dogs. Lots of dog hair to be had – it seems that just looking at them makes hair fly off of them. Regular grooming with the Furminator removes a lot of hair but the dogs will only tolerate its use on their backs and sides, due to tender arthritic joints and generalized soreness from aging. So, I thought I would give this product a try – and what a difference ! While the gloves do not remove quite as much as hair as the Furminator, there are other distinct advantages for their use. First, they can be easily used over the whole body – including legs, soft belly, tail, and even the head. All areas can actually be massaged, which the dogs clearly enjoy. The dogs LOVE this. In fact, as soon as they see the gloves they go into their happy dance, happy face mode, while hip-checking each other out of the way to be first in line. Since using the gloves for a while now it seems that the quality of their coats is actually better – perhaps a benefit of massaging the skin and stimulating hair growth (more hair?? – better hair). Their coats are softer and more glossy. Bottom line: these gloves have been absolutely great for my aging hairy dogs, and clearly they will be my only grooming aide for the girls. What else is there to say? Maybe give them a try.

I have a 4 month old husky pup (Sasha) that just started shedding. I have a furminator, but unfortunately she really is too young for that and she hates being brushed, even when brushed lightly to avoid touching her skin. These grooming gloves are the perfect solution! My puppy would sit and let you scratch her all day if you had the time! I can sit and wipe her down and ‘scratch/pet’ her with the gloves on and she can’t get enough of it! It is a win-win scenario. It does take longer than a de-shedding brush like the furminator, but like I said, it is quality time with my pup! She is finally allowed back on the bed!The gloves are super easy to clean too. I initially made the mistake of trying to pull all of the hair off, which doesn’t work well since it is obviously meant to hold on to the hair. Instead, rub the gloves together like you are trying to warm your hands and the hair will quickly ball up and fall off into the trashcan!Pros:Easily removes hairGreat for puppiesPuppy thinks I am petting her and loves the attention – more quality time!Easy to cleanCons:takes a little bit longer than a brush, but then again you do have two hands!

The curse of reading reviews….some people love it, others hate it. Cats are picky, and I don’t think these should get a bad review because someones cat didn’t like them. Why can’t you just return them? I return a lot of things and never any problem with Amazon. Anyway…My cats LOVE these. 1 cats really loves them, the other likes them OK. People complain about the hair not coming off well. Geez, you want perfection in everything? Yes its a little tricky to get hair off but if you do it right it peels off in almost 1 hand-shaped piece (see pics) . My 1 cats doesn’t like the brush much but likes these more because its like being petted. My other cat is a whore for these…I put one gloved hand by his face, which he rubs all over the glove while I brush his body with the other. He lets me do it for up to 10 mins before he gets tired of it, as most any cat will do eventually, if your arm holds out that long. When the fur you brushed off gets piled up on the glove, pull up around the edges and peel it off. It usually dines’t all come off in 1 piece unless you tired, which I did for this pic. I would be happy to answer and q’s. I have had cats all my life.

I’ve been looking for an alternative way to manage my pup’s shedding and all I can say I wish I got these sooner. These gloves showed to be more beneficial all around compared to the typical brushing. For one the pup likes it as opposed to the brush he tried to avoid at every session so I’m not wasting time anymore trying to get him to come here and stay here, etc.. Now it’s wagging tails instead at the sight of these gloves. The process is much quicker now too as the gloves gather not only easier, but I’d say at least twice if not triple the amount of hair at a time. Apparently these gloves work on his mood too as he always ends up starting a playfight nibbling at the gloves. That’s the only distraction really, and not one I’ll ever complain about.Given some of the reviews here I can’t help but wonder how some function on a daily basis. You do not need a vacuum cleaner to get the hair out are you kidding me? Lol Basicand obvious ways work just fine, like picking them out, if you wait till you have a nice thick coat gathered then the hair will bundle up and come off as a layer you can peel off as one piece. If using both gloves rub your palms together it will start rolling the hair in a bundle. You can also use a comb or similar to lift the hair from between the bristles if you prefer. Improvise people improvise.I’m just baffled here, I really don’t get the logic behind the complaints that they don’t come out easily, that’s actually a good thing… if they would that would also mean they wouldn’t stick to the gloves in the first place either and you’d just end up spreading the hair around. By all mean if it’s that much of an issue you should go ahead and purchase generic flat gloves then, that will work so well for you that you won’t have any hair to pull out at all. Good stuff ain’t it?

I purchased several different products and will share my feedback of each here, for those who are comparison shopping. I have always been a pet owner, but recently adopted a terrier. White hair, short, wiry, sticks to EVERYTHING. I have never had as much trouble with pet hair as I do now. I needed major help removing the hair from my leather couch, my bedding, and my clothes.Sweepa Duo Rubber Brush: this worked best on my couch. It was a bit labor intensive, for me at least, because the pet hair had become embedded in the leather. We have a large sectional, so by the time I had wiped the sides, backs, and seats of the couch, I was winded and about 30 min had passed. I had tried a bunch of other products prior to this, and even the at-home latex glove trick, to no avail. While hairs were still present on the couch, this tool provided the most relief.Fur Zapper 2-pack pet hair remover: I wanted to love this, but it just didn’t work for me. I see no less hair on clothes now than I did before I purchased these. I also followed the suggestion to run dirty clothes in the dryer for a few minutes to “loosen” the pet hair prior to washing. I did find some pet hair in the lint trap after this, but not enough to take this extra step in my opinion.Delomo Pet Grooming Glove: Our dogs actually really enjoyed being groomed with this glove, and we got an enormous amount of hair off the two of them. It felt great to see it come off on the glove instead of floating around my house, so this product is a keeper!Gonzo Pet Hair Lifter sponge: this worked best on my clothes. The terrier’s hair has a way to get embedded in material, making it so hard to get out. My sticky tape rolls would only go so far. I would leave the house about 75% hair-free. This sponge really did get up a lot of hair that was “stuck” in sweaters. I did notice that after a few swipes, the hair that had been removed by the sponge would get transferred to the sweater again. I had a hard time getting the hair off the sponge, until I tried this…after a few passes with the sponge, I would take my sticky tape roller and run it all over the sponge to pick up the hair on it, then go back to my sweater with the sponge, and repeat.I have yet to find a product that works effectively across multiple surfaces. If anyone has a suggestion, please share! But I am pleased with the rubber brush for my couch, the glove for pet grooming, and the pet hair lifter for clothes. I would not purchase the fur zapper again.
